A Problem Worth Solving
In the late 90s, after years in the sock industry, we noticed something wasn't quite right. As retailers pushed for lower prices, socks became thinner, rougher and tighter. The tops dug in and left nasty restriction marks behind. People quietly put up with the discomfort, but we didn't. We knew socks shouldn't be like this!
A New Kind of Comfort
Some alternatives existed, but they didn't go far enough. They slipped down, lacked style and were often overpriced. We knew we could do better, so we set ourselves a mission: to redesign the humble sock where comfort comes first!
Months of developing, retooling and testing took place until we found something that worked. That breakthrough was a unique honeycomb-like structure with soft, stretchy, non-binding properties. It gently contoured to the natural shape of your legs, without pressure, pinching or red marks left behind. We called it the HoneyComb Top™, and it forms the foundation of every Gentle Grip sock to this day.
Since then, Gentle Grip socks have continued to evolve and improve, while our range has grown to meet more needs. We've introduced thermal, sport and cushion foot styles, so more people can enjoy Gentle Grip comfort, whatever the occasion.
